Unscrewing stuck jewellery

I've run into quite a problem. I have a surface piercing that is starting to reject (as is to be expected I suppose). I want to take out the bar and just let it heal up. The only problem is that the balls seem to have become stuck, and I'm having a hard time trying to open it without ripping my skin.

Anyone have any tricks for getting stuck balls unscrewed?

Go to your piercer. They'll help. That happens to me all the time.

Oddly there is nowhere in Oxford. Well actually that's not strictly true, since there is one place but it's pretty dodgy. I'd rather avoid it, but I guess I'll have to go if there is no other suggestions.

Um, the only other option is a plyers or something, but you risk ripping the thing out. Where is the piercing?

i had a vertical tragus thing for a while. it was rejecting and i couldnt unscrew the top. i stupidly ripped it out...
i dont recommend that, get a mate to try give you a hand (clean one)

Well theres quite a lot of skin left, but I want to get it out before it leaves a scar.

try wearing latex gloves while trying to unscrew the ball,might help with the grip:)

Needle tree closed down a few months ago, and you're right about Tiger-Lily.

A pliers did the trick, although it was a little sore. Still, all's well that ends well.
