Hold or Fold?

I've a couple of hands in PPP cash tables:

    Hand 1:

    $0.10/$0.20 NLHE.

I've 88 on the cutoff. UTG makes it $0.60 to play. UTG + 2 raises it to $2.40. I've a feeling someone has a big PP. No reads, was only on this table for a few hands. Should be easy fold, right?

    Hand 2:

    $0.10/$0.20 NLHE

A few orbits later. This hand is a bit similar to Hand 1. I have JJ on the BB. UTG makes it $0.60. Button raises it to $2.00. Same feeling as I had in Hand 1. Call and hope for a Jack on the flop or fold?

In both cases it depends a lot on what the stacks are

Sorry forgot to add stack sizes. I've 100BB in Hand 1 and about 110 BB in hand 2.

Hand 1: UTG had about 50BB and UTG + 2 had about 60BB.
Hand 2: UTG had about 50BB and Button had about 100BB.

id insta fold hand 1 in that spot with no reads or info on players and wait 4 a better spot when i have more info.
i would prob raise hand 2. how deep were u? how deep was he? ill presume u were at max buy in and if they were also then set value is good here. the problem with just callng hand 2 is if u get a 629 rainbow flop your not going know if your ahead. ask the question preflop

reads/stats etc all affect how you play the hand. if your only calling for set value, you need about 8 to 1.

Stack sizes and implied odds are important here

fold both if you trust your read of overpairs, if not you can maybe cold call 2 but id still probably fold

Without solid reads fold hand 1. Hand 2 if you think the BB will stack off with QQ+ then your just about getting set value if you are fairly convinced he is that strong. How long have you been playing at the table(s)? Has the raising been light or standard? Of its been light has there been any light re-raising or eveyone pretty much staying in line?

No, been on the table for about 15 minutes, haven't seen much action, it was a fairly tight table. In hand 1, UTG went all in after i folded and showed AKs, UTG + 2 had AA. So I don't think UTG was raising with trash.

Haven't seen enough hands to get a read on Button in hand 2.

everyone pretty much stayed in line.
