Clean sensor

    I have a hair /dust on the sensor of my pentax istds camera...anyone any idea of where I can get it cleaned...I am in the cork area

    best to try a good blower first... Back when I first wanted to get my 20D cleaned, nobody in any of the camera shops was willing to offer any advice. Was simply told to send it to Canon each time I wanted it cleaned.

    Get a rocket blower or equivalent and give the sensor a good blast with that. If that doesn't clean up most of the junk on the sensor, consider investing in a copper hill kit. You'll probably need the kit eventually anyway

    Thanks..was getting a blower anyway...where do I get the copperhill kits locally?? in IReland?

    good question. You'll probably be able to pick them up in Dublin but I think Cork's camera shops are too backward to stock them. I got mine from Switzerland

    i got my sensor cleaning stuff right here in Clonmel - shock!! horror!!
    i discovered later (i had been in MacSweeneys Clonmel shop) that they ordered from Paddy Barkers so obviously they must carry it!!
