Programme to Queue and automate FTP uploads??

Can anyone tell me is there a programme (preferably free!) that you can use to queue files to be FTP'd, and the programme will upload them automatically, one after the other.

I regularly FTP .zip files in work, each taking an average of 30-60mins, and ideally I would like to be able to build up a few files, then upload them all one after another overnight, as it slows down the net & pc if I'm uploading while working!

any help much appreciated! Thanks, Barry.

Well, I hate to suggest it, but Windows Explorer ftp will do this...
Just go to the run menu & type "ftp://<servername>". It'll prompt you for your username and password, and then you can just drag and drop files.

Leechftp is a fairly decent free FTP client that will allow you do just that.

Most freeware is not free for corporate use though. If that's an issue you can automate it all using 7Zip (or your zippy of choice), Windows command line FTP scripts, Batch files and Windows Scheduler.
I had something like this popup last year and the dept. wouldn't cough up the money for an off-the-shelf app. to do it. So I used the system above....spending enough hours on it that my pay alone cost them about 2x more than the software would have...ah, management.....

I just never understood how people don't see wages per-hour as a cost. Really f*cking stupid.

    Thanks for the responses lads.

I'm using Windows FTP explorer at the moment, but am I right in saying that if I drag one zip in and it's uploading, and then I drag in another it will try to upload the two simultaneusly?

pretty much yeah. Smartftp really is the best client out there, It can que multiple uploads and downloads at the same time, and even connect to multiple servers. You can even limit bandwidth too. And its free with a comercial liscense iirc.
