yeah, it's been posted here a good few times. Are the answers posted anywhere?

i was thinking about making a thread a while ago, where we work through the quiz to get the "correct" answers in each of them, but I thought that it wouldn't take off

I dont know, that's the reason i posted this. Hoping someone knows so of the answers. Did the other threads contain any ideas what the correct answers were?

might aswell get the ball rolling. I found this question difficult to figure, well i found most of them tricky but this one was close to the top.

Tournament. Blinds are 300-600 with 75 antes. 9 handed.

SB is a well known tourney pro and has 60,000 chips. A weak tight player UTG with 100,000 chips limps and SB completes. Big blind with 12,000 chips checks

    FLop:
    8s 6s 3d

Blinds to UTG who bets 3,000. SB calls and the BB min check raises to 6,000. UTG min re-raises to 12,000. After long consideration SB calls, and the big blind calls all-in.

    Turn:
    Kh

    River:
    3s

SB bets 10,000 into the 40,000 chip pot. UTG quickly calls. What did all three players hold?

    1. SB had AA, UTG has a flush draw, and BB holds a set.
    2. SB had a draw, BB had two pair on the flop, and UTG has AA.
    3. SB had a set, BB has 99+, and UTG has flush draw.
    4. SB had two pair on the flop, BB has a draw, UTG has A8.

It cant be one and 2 has i doubt anyone has A's.

Not sure about number 3, i think SB would raise the flop and bet the turn with a set. Then bet more on the river with his house. I can see big blind shoving with 99. But would UTG not bet the turn aswell with a draw?

4th choice seems unlikely aswell. Would SB not re-raise flop with 2 pair, and bet turn?

Edit - opition 2 doesnt seem hugely far fetched actually. 3,000 bet into a 1,800 pot could be aces. But no raise pf is fairly awful.

If your going to go through them all, start at the first one, even if its obvious and a two line post,
    prevents any getting skipped

Cant say i could be arse doing all 52 myself, so i will knock up 15 or so and someone can start from 20 onwards and i can put it into my op.

I think you misunderstand the question (or i do), But im pretty sure the question is asking what hands they have by the river, ie he has a set on river not a house,
The SB (the pro) value bets the river, so you can rule out option 2

I thought a set meant that someone has pocket pairs, then hits the 3rd card on the board. Where as trips is when you have one card and hit your 2 cards on the board or is that wrong?

thats right and its amazing how often people get it wrong

I don't think the test is sticking to the defination that rigidly, as for the board they could only have a house or trips on river,
The test doesn't open for me the whole time, probably a good thing too, I get stuck on the first one, :):):):)

its definetely without any doubt number 2.
it just cant be any of the others, and 2 makes perfect sense, although the limper with aces played it horrendously, the pro hits his flush on the river and value bets.

yeah i took this test and answered option 2, thinking utg was going for the limp reraise and wasn't obliged, that's all i can see making any sense.....but i'm not very smart :) anyone get an exceptionally high score on this test? i got a 112, average i believe. it was freakin hard they just constantly give you bottom set and a horrible situation for it.
