Anyone know roughly how much it costs to replace the timing belt in a 96 Escort?

From main dealer your are talking in excess of 400 euro. From the bloke in the small garage anything from 150 euro to 250 euro including parts and labour. Just give them about a weeks notice so they can get the parts though.

The man in the small independent garage will do fine :D Its just i'm buying it off my dad as a second car and the timing belt wasn't done in a while so i'd better get it done. Thanks.
