I have applied for my hunting licence for next season and have decided on 243 win to be the best calliber for me. I will be using the 243 for fox and sikka. I want to buy a tikka t3. I owned one in .223 rem and it was a good rifle.
Has anyone fired a t3 in 243? and if so what did you think?

will they fire the light stuff well (55 grain 3800 fps)

I plan on using the federal hpbt 85 grain (3300 fps) for deer is this wise?

really depends on the twist rate, ive had several .243's over the years and none of them really liked the 55grains,best way to do it is try everything available,as for a deer round you might want to up it to the 90-100 grain soft point,as for foxes ive always stuck to the 70-75 grain range but someone here with a tikka in .243 will give you better knowledge

    I think the T3 ..243 is a 1-10 Twist.
