yet another I-Tunes question

hi guys,

wondering of any of yous can help me this its wrecking my head!

is there any way on i tunes i can add a load of songs from my music library eg. each with different artist nd album names, and make them all go into one folder on the like say a folder called " random". even having them all in the same album on the album list would do!

At the moment wen i add loads of different songs into i tunes then just go into the i tunes and i hav to rename them individualy, which will take ages wit all the random songs i want to add!

You want to give a big bunch of songs the same album name without having to do each individually?

It's possible to edit multiple entries by, first selecting them all (you can ctrl click each individually, or shift click a bunch if they follow each other) and then right clicking on them and select 'Get info'. When the window opens you can enter an album name or whatever and that same album name or whatever will be given to all the entries that you highlighted.

Not sure if this is what you were actually asking for though. . .

If what you want to do , is to collect a bunch of random songs and have them together , say , like a list of number 1's or something , then highlight them all , then give them an album name , and in the get info dialog , select compilation album ( yes ) , they will then all appear under the album name you gave them.

Rather than retagging your files it would be far simpler to make a playlist and title it "Random" or something...

I'm on a mac, but I imagine the windows version of itunes is pretty much identical.

1. Open itunes
2. Go up to "File"
3. Select "New Playlist"
4. A new playlist will appear in the left side panel, you can name it what ever you want.
5. Drag the songs you want into the playlist and voila you've made a playlist.
