Yeah, Seashell (the chipper off Lombard St.) closed on Friday I think it was. I never got a battered mars bar from ther but I used to go there now and again for some other battered goodness.

    Boo hiss :(

/edit: This isn't anyway related to 'shell to sea'. Go elsewhere if that's your preferred topic.

Aww no, I used to love that place and was looking forward to frequenting it again next year! Lido just feels like too far to walk :(

Boo-urns! I loved their deep-fried Mars bars - where will I go now when I feel the need to clog up my arteries that little bit more?

I was talking to the owner there a couple of weeks back and he said that he will try to find another place near by to re open but he's doubtful he'll find the right place.

It's a shame its gone, it was one of those last few Family run places in dublin ,I hope they don't close O'Donavans

Really? Aww, went there a fair few times when I was in Trinity. Great to get your dinner before heading onwards (often to the nearby Mahaffeys).

DURC had a farewell order that went over €100 to note the passing of Seashells.. there was battered mars, snickers, double deckers etc

I'm not too pushed myself, Lido is way better

Not a big fan of seashell, small portions of chips amongst other moans. how come he's closing? are they knocking down the whole building?

The developer is knocking down the whole building to build apartments i believe....I'd like to hope they will be aimed at students but that is wishful thinking
