I wrote to the New Zealand Reasearch center in Antarctica, Scott's Base, and asked if there were any vacancies for cleaners or that type of thing. I was told no, anyone that does not have a science degree and lots of experience would find it very hard to get down to the ice.

I once went for a job I knew absolutely nothing about biefore I went in, and you needed some weird degree to get it, the one Nightwish does. I walked in teh door, they asked me what job I was a pplying for, I read a name of the list in front of her and did that interview. It was so above my head, didn't have a clue what was going on. Just nodded etc. Good times.

I was a pizza delivery driver for 2 days but I couldn't drive a moped. When the owner of the branch found out, I was promptly fired. Thankfully, I never got around to driving any of the bikes on the road.

They're not really the sort of things you need to know how to drive. Just get up on them and go.

The things they use for pizza delivery are semi-automatic 125cc bikes, so on top of the gears being tricky to use, they were slightly heavier than your average moped and I think I would have been driving them illegally because of the type of licence I had at the time.
