    My mate has changed the batteries in the remote and now it will not work.Any ideas guys?

    Will it work the digibox and not the TV or will it control neither?
    May just need to be re-programmed to his make of TV.

    Are the batteries in the right way around, it may sound silly but sometimes it can be just that simple, beyond that it may be knackered.

    do you have a camera phone/video camera/digital camera?? if so switch it on, have a look through it and point a working remote at it and press any button, you'll see the IR LEDs on the top flicker, now try the sky remote, does it also flicker, or is it dead?

    Try different batteries from another batch too.
