My MBP is giving me an awful lot of electric shocks when I place my right wrist on the laptop when typing.

What the hell's going on? And how to fix it?

    Rubber gloves? :)

    Is it still under warranty?

Yeah, it's still under warranty. I didn't know I was that statically charged.

I have the same problem here. I had a look around the net a couple of weeks ago and it seems it's a common problem. I haven't done anything else about it.

    Keeps me awake :)

Same thing developed on my old PowerBook G4 after a couple of years. I'd bring it back to the shop if I were you. (My G4 is now deceased).
