    100 euro Macau yesterday

Villain, showed down a hand where he squeezed with Ace Jack, continuation bet into 3 ppl on a K K 6 board with set hand then proceded to get runner runner house to become new chip leader.

    Hero 22 500
    Villain 45000

    Blinds 500 - 1000

Folded to Hero 77 on button

    Raise to 3000
    Villain calls in Sb
    pot 7000

    Flop 2 3 5 , 2 diamonds

    Villain checks
    Hero bets 4500
    Villain calls
    turn 9 diamonds

    Villain checks
    Hero checks behind

    River 9
    Villain checks
    ??

Im wondering here should I check behind or should I value bet hoping to be called by a worse hand?

    -
    66,44,a 2 ,a 3 ,a 5,5, 4.....

Based on the read the flush on board was not relevant in this situation.

    Good question
I am pretty sure I check behind here a lot though

I would imagine that checking behind is best,
not many hands could call that you beat.

if you think he definitely doesnt have a flush then shove.given stack sizes i think most players will either shove p/f or flop with a better overpair.also in macau its very possible to get looked up by a worse hand in this spot.

How many people are left? If you check and lose you are pretty short but in an aggressive game someone might be kind enough to double you up. I think they have to be really mad to call you with something you beat but you could get them to fold a couple of hands that you are behind to but I think its better to check in this spot.

    There was about 14/15 left

I think he is 'mad' enough to call me with something I beat. The example above shows the extent of his madness.I don't think I can get him to fold a hand that I am behind too.
