    Hey all,

I bought a guitar on ebay for €1800 last week.

It was sent last Monday using Parcel Force, with a 2 day delivery.

It still hasn't arrvied! I'm in touch with Parcel Force everyday and they are going to physically look for the guitar today!! Its a guitar...it can't be that hard to lose!!

Has anyone ever had any other experiences with Parcel Force? Is it hard to get compensation from them?

    Well flip me, snap.

Order 200 euro worth off stuff off Ebay, tracked the parcel, left it on Friday.

Came back in today, no parcel, tracked it, delivered on Friday, signed by Coleen Kelly!!! Who the fk!!

So I am blasted them with an email as I was never contacted and no Coleen Kelly works here!!!

Avoid parcel force if at all possible, they are IMHO the most corrupt and inept delivery service going.
There have been numerous reports about stuff being robbed not to mention the recent Passport robbing incidents.
try and deal with recognised delivery services especially with high value items.

    Shi1te!! ...Doesn't sound good!!

Should I be getting worried that the guitar has been stolen?

Luckily, I paid for £1500 enhanced compensation.

Who would you suggest. Parcelforce are part of royal mail, not exactly delboy trotter with a delivery van. I imagine every courier/postal service is prone to robbery.

I have never been fully happy with any couriers.

Are you people talking about the Parcel Force parcels that get handed off to GLS in Ireland? I know some items still go through An Post, but larger items tend go to GLS, who are as inept as they come.

Royal mail is not a good carrier, I have heard of many instances where goods get "lost" passing through the UK.

When I send anything from here to the UK I use DHL, they may not be perfect but I have not had half the hassle that I have had with Parcefarce/ RM
Funnily the USPS which has very strict laws on mail theft has very few robberies, I think I read somewhere that the US Postal inspectors are the most efficient police force in the country!

I rang Parcel Farce this morning. I was told to make a claim, the guitar is probably "Lost" (ie. stolen)

I said how do you lose a guitar!? But I was just told to make a claim.

Now I have to get the ebay seller to make the claim, which I imagine is going to be really awkward!!

How an €1800 guitar just disappears is beyond me

Was wary of Parcel Force, but i went with UPS again even though its double the price, but the delivery guy knows me so thats a plus in itself

    Thanks for the advice lads
