Female Lead Vocalist seeks band - Dublin

    Hi there...

I'm a 33 year old female vocalist with tons of gigging experience. I am interested firstly (and most ideally) securing a front role with an already established gigging band. I am also considering forming a band to get a commercial set together. I am not a “muso” - no offence meant to any original writing bands here or people with strong views and specialised tastes. I write my own music but it's purely for my own creativity and is a totally different project to this one I have in mind now. My taste doesn't really come into it for this thing.
I want to be in a successful gigging covers band in the Dublin and greater Dublin region and I really want to do it by July this year. There is a lot of prosperity to be gained and a lot of fun to be had by putting your energy into entertaining the masses and giving people a good time. The material I'd like to perform is a foundation of old classics for weddings and parties - and building on that a modern set whereupon the band constantly update their repertoire with what's in the charts, what's fun to play, and what provides high quality entertainment and non stop fun to their audience. It takes work and some rehearsal but once the foundations are laid it would pay off and be worth it. I've played bass and sang in a number of bands for over ten years now but I have a day job and am committed to it so that's why I want to only concentrate on Dublin.
It's a commercial venture and an outlet for fun and high jinx. I am serious about it though and would approach it from a very professional attitude. I have my voice, my looks, my sense of humour, my personality, and an SM-58, a must have for any serious singer! I'm not interested in playing bass again (except maybe one or two songs) I want to put my all into fronting. I know a lot of people who could help getting backing tracks together and the like if a keyboard player out there is interested. There’s loads of moola to be made out there and loads of fun too....is anybody missing a singer? Does anyone who’s got a core band that needs an experienced lead person see this?!!!! I really miss performing and I know lots of musicians, have filled in The T Bar "Whiskey in the Jar" circuit for years and sang many different styles from Van Morrison to Sheryl Crowe to The Cardigans et al. I can sing any style. But it's important for this venture to keep it to what people want to hear. I still fill every now and then, but I'd really like a band to call my own and I'm tired of not being part of the original line up. Please send me a personal mail if you're interested. I'm sorry but if you're only setting out on your musical journey with no gig experience please don't answer, I'm too long at it to start all over again....Thank you.

You obviously aren't short on the confidence front.
