have you tried tesco?

I got a grand (basic) laptop bag there for €12.99, fits my 15.4 inch laptop fine. They may have a larger bag for 17 inch laptops aswell.

Dunnes stores are doing one for 15 euro not too sure what price it is but it has a mouse and other stuff in it too.
