Prize draws - car missed

    Senario:

A prize draw was held recently for a car (1st), holiday (2nd),weekend away(3rd) and gaa tickets (4th) . Tickets were €100 each. The draw was advertised as a Prize draw to win a car. There was no mention of how the prizes were to be drawn out of the drum in the Terms and conditions or on the tickets.

Question: A friend of mine was drawn 1st out of the drum but won 4th Prize as the organisers announced the order at the raffle ceremony and drew 4th prize first. My question is purely based on the legal issues arising from the organisers actions and what I want peoples views on is 1) whether the organisers have acted improperly by drawing in reverse order as the people who won 4th ,3rd and 2nd were not put back in the drum for a chance to win the car- the very reason they bought a ticket. My own personal view is that the prize draw should have drawn the 1st prize first to ensure all had a equal chance to win the main prize. Thereafter everyone left in the draw had a chance to win consolation prizes.2) Does this action by the organisers make them negligent ? 3) Is there ground for redress ? 4) Anyone hear or know what happened in a similar case in the midlands last year which went to court
