Anyone know trade in value of 360 on price of a PS3?

Sorry for the long title but as it says I'm thinking of cutting my losses early with the 360. It's broken twice already and it's only a matter of time before it does so again. From what I hear the PS3 is a far more reliable piece of machinery so I think I will go for that.

My question is how much should I expect to get off the price of a PS3 at game etc if I trade in the 360. I won't be giving them any games as I plan on buying the elite when it's released here.

You can get around €265 or so off, so the console costs you €365.

    Thanks, that sounds pretty reasonable.

Big mistake though. At the moment the PS3 does nothing that makes it better than the 360, and the game selection on the 360 is vastly superior at the moment.

I've played all the 360 games that are worth playing and the line up for the next few months does nothing for me. With Mass Effect slipping to September or whenever I have no real need for the 360 for a few months. I will pick up an elite in July.

Basically I am just pre-empting the inevitable breakage. The 360 MS send back to me is another first batch job so I'm averse to even turning it on unless it breaks and I have to fork out for repairs. I'll just hand it in for a PS3 and get the (hopefully) better built elite in a few months.

I thought the elites were having the same issues with overheating?

True. The Elites are not any better built. Same processors, fans, etc. Main difference is the HDMI and DVD Drive. The Elite is just as noisey as the current batch.

I did hear that the cpu was "secured" better to the mb, but not sure about that.
