Ipod Video - Sound, but no Video

    Hi,

    have an 80GB Video Ipod which I gave to my sister a few months ago - all was working perfect at the time.

    Now, I've gotten it back, when I play a movie/TV show I get sound but no video. When I open any file in i-Tunes (through QuickTime), all of the movies play perfectly.

    I've spent the entire evening trying to figure this out using both manuals & the web.

    Has anyone got any ideas for me please?

    Not 100% sure but maybe you need to download the most up todate codecs for your Ipod

    the ipod should play mpeg4 enabled video anyway. You can't add codecs onto the ipod firmware I don't think unless you are talking about ipod linux.

    not sure about updating codecs tbh. All video clips played perfectly only before giving to her.

    I was hoping that perhaps someone had done something such that all videos are now recognized as music only & I might be able to reset this!?
