Went today, and there was a fantastic collection of Ford & Fordson tractors, and even a scattering of Ford Capris, Consuls, Cortinas, and some rather odd looking modified Anglia Vans.

Tractors included a Doe triple D (fetching circa £60k stg at the moment), a forward control county, and load of rare enough Ploughmasters, a Fordson major in original condition with 800 hours and some absolutely unbelievable restoration work.

Pretty big crowd too, I was surprised at the interest in a pretty niche area!

Nah, Fords don't do much for me tbh. so I didn't bother and I can't understand the fascination with tractors either, but that's just my opinion, I like rare things not going to a show and seeing 40 of the same type of thing sitting in a field.:)

Yeah was there, was savage. Some very unusual fords. Some P.Savage guy had a load of restored ford tractors, a silver jubilee 7810 and the paint work on it was better than most cars!! A ford 7000, a 5000 and a 3000 think he does the restorations himself. The car end of things was bit disappointing i expected more but i suppose there was vintage rallys going on all over the country over the weekend and that probably was some of the cause of that.

Much better, and a very good crowd.

It is very much biased towards the tractor end of thigs, and in that regard there was a lot of strange and unusual machines.

You would be surprised at the number of people who do collect classic/vintage tractors. My cousin once had 60, but has scaled back to 30! A colleague at work has close to 30, an uncle 10...
