I am really close to buying a Varedero XL

are there any other options out there for a tall bike with small engine, I am applying for an A liscence.

i have done the pocket rocket thing, had a ninja abroad so thats out of my system, The Varedero looks fine and I am happy enough with it, I just want something to commute with that I dont look ridiculous on, so open to any other suggestions before I buy...

My question I suppose is really, the Varadero is fine but its a 125, I think I can go to 250 without doing the whole restricter thing, are there any bikes as tall as the Varadero at 250 cc

Not so. There is no restriction on CC's - it is the power output that is restricted.

I'll sell you a Factory Restricted 650 if you like.

Suzuki SV k6N - big enough to feel very stable in high winds, at motorway speeds, and very comfortable in traffic.

Yep, been doin a bit of reading and figured that out eventually, also found

To be honest I am still in the OFF ROAD / ON ROAD frame of mind and if I was going to restrict anything it would be a dakar or something like it, thanks anyway
