check zoning definition in county development plan , maybe office = medical or maybe not. Westdoc in Galway is in a large office cum shop premises if its any help and the garda traffic is next door in another one.

thanks for ur answer, suppose it will be change of use from office to medical centre or doctor surgery or clinic or health centre? None of the management of my company nor owner is a medicine doctor. Where is actually difference between medical centre and doctor surg. or health centre in Irish Law?

They're all just categories. They get argued back and forth now and again.

From what you have told us, I really don't think you will have a problem here. However, you should get specialized advice if this is really important. If you have to apply for a change of use, you should definitely talk to a specialist.

The zoning may be defined widely enough already, if the zoning is ..eg A12 or B3 ...all thats needed is a letter to the local planners asking is A12=Doctors surgery/medical centre .

If they say no then a PP may be required or a CHANGE in zoning which could be a vote in the council.

Frankly I feel that the OP will not have an issue but at this stage they need clarity which can be forthcoming from the planning department in writing.
