Okay I won't be drinking. Yet I still think it's a good initiative; this SU-Pav staff agreement (see posters/email) to keep the pav open til 11 provided:

    1. You need to make 100% sure you put your litter in bins (we will have extra bins in place and we’ll be giving out black bags)! That way the Pav won’t have to close early to clean up.

    2. Make sure that you respect the barriers in place, respect the Pav staff and try to remain as orderly as possible.

Do people think this will work? Is it publicised enough for people to know about it? Meh, I'd like to think so... inspite of the fact I'll be hermitating myself in a small room tonight, attempting to figure the ins and outs of magnetic resonance.

I like DQ but I hope he handles the whole "walking around telling people to put cans in bins" business sensibly.

I'll be one of the people helping out tonight probably. Plan is to make sure that every big group of people has a black plastic bag in which to put their cans.

Depends if they put the posters/email around UCD/DIT as well. Sounds like a fairly reasonable suggestion all the same, so I'd say even without any publicity people would get the hang of cans in a black bag if they're given one.

I think its a good idea.

I nearly killed myself when I running on the pitch when I tripped over a bottle.

Right, throw you cans at neil :D. Seriously though, what about the non trinity folk that come in? I doubt they'd be aware of the initiative. I think we should get Scurvy to remind everyone every half hour using his klaxon like voice.

Just tell him to use his indoor voice and you'll be set.

Yeah, we can't have him laying waste to everyone's hearing now, can we?!

  • Streaker? lol. I'd just left, but I heard loads of cheering.

showed up at about seven, when you can't get a seat on some grass you know something of a seismic and shift like occurance has errr.............. occured. I'll say about three thousand humans at a reasonable estimate. by reasonable I mean I'm post zaytoon and have designs on world domination. in fairness, it's probably fairly simple.

needless to say I cleaned up my own waste by means of huggies(tm) "big boy pants". as always, ALLAH AKBAR!

Edit the second: I photographed a laguna that was possessed of a shamefully attractive paintjob that was possessed of some serious bible bashing text. pictures after the dawn.

    Wooden cups for all!

    Go Team Pillage!

Edit: By waste I mean cans, not faeces. I just want to make that clear. Tiger tiger burning bright.... the quick brown....

Right, I'll leave it at that.

Edit: That's what happens when you go drinking without having any dinner.

Edit the MMVII: pooor auld sam!

it was midly entertaining, but the tripping of the streaker was deadly.

UCD was jammers, last day of term over here. Best craic UCD has ever had, for once can drinkers werent disturbed. Live gigs, charity arm wrestling and head shaving, BBQ. Twas great.

BTW, when do TCD exams begin/end?

I am possibly the only person who was in the hamilton library last night. It was clearly one of the lowest points of my life. Stupid pav going people coming in all night to use the toilet, taunting me with their madness. Exams for the lose.

Begin the 21st of May (with some having begun already, and some beginning a week before that) and ending at the latest on the 15th of June. Most people are finished before that, with again most finished before moi on the 11th of June.

    Bah to you all.
