I've noticed in the Champs League matches they are able to identify the distance each player covers on the pitch.
Apologies if this sounds silly, but how do they do that?
Do they use spotters at each match, even still how could they calculate distance covered???

    Cheers:confused:

i presume it is linked to the prozone technology employed by most top clubs. Not sure how they do it, but the technology keeps track of the player movements, and calculates the distance covered.

I think that is what it is alright, I know that Rafa has had it installed at anfield and if they so choose I suppose that they could let the tv guys have access that information is fairly easy to throw up on screen.
