Propane and the whole gas situation!

Right, I'm close to purchasing a GBB but first I need to make sure I can get gas locally and do everything right etc. as I've never been up to date on the whole gas thing! It takes green gas and duster gas (keyboard cleaner so I've been told). Can you buy green gas anywhere here? I've skimmed over threads about propane before but never really looked as I didn't think I'd be getting one. Where can you buy propane? And the lubricants need to make green gas? I also heard something about an adaptor (pictures anyone?). So, if someone could take the time to tell me about what I need etc. then I'd be very grateful!

    Cheers.

Can you get an adapter in B&Q? I really don't fancy forking out even more on the net. How much is it for shipping?

Edit: Eyes only, how much is it for a can of the stuff? And is it easy to mix with the silicone, how is that done? Thanks.

the silicone oil you can buy in b&q and also halfords, looks like the one in the far right of this picture:

    3in1-family_pro.gif

you basically just spray some into the top of the propane bottle and screw on the adapter, when you use it, the silicone will mix a little bit with the propane as it goes through the adapter

green gas can be bought from bfsl in ballymount, dublin. other than that, you can buy gas online from retailers in the uk, it's a bit pricy though and it can only be shipped by surface mail

The adaptor is $35 plus i think $10 shipping.

    Propane tanks are €11 in B&Q :)

    Silicone is like €8.

B&Q dont sell adaptors as far as i know.

In the End Its woth it!

The Same As Lethal's post :P

and all i do is spray the silicone spray in the top of the canister (the dipped part till it pools up), screw on the adapter fast and use it :)

Alternatively just spray a tad into the gas nozzle/piston.

    Master of the Universe

The adapter is specifically designed for Airsoft GBB magazines. I doubt B&Q would be stocking such things ;)

They're a great investment if you plan on using your GBB a lot. One of these days I'll get around to buying one!

didnt wanna start another thread for this, so ill just post here...

just finished my first can of propane today, there's still a little bit in it, but not enough to get any more than a couple of shots. im thinking the can cant be just thrown in the bin, anyone know where to properly dispose of them?

Same Here, the Pressure is too low to load but got an Idea:
Charge the mag as much as possible with semi-empty one then top up with the full:D

was thinking that, but considering im only getting 3/4 shots out of what is left in the old bottle and a full load of gas in the mag get's me two mags worth of shots, not really worth it
