    hey there,
Sorry if this is posted in wrong section, I couldnt find a suitable place.(feel free to move just dont ban me eh?)
just wondering if anyone acually knows the real number to contact the US embassy here. They have several on their site but these are in fact dummies. I dont want to speak to a machine I just have a simple question regarding biometric passports. I'm questioning whether there even is anyone on the phones in there, seems to me that the embassy has been invaded by polite yet utterly useless robot's who answer the phone and do their best to piss people off.

    Raaah!!

Have you tried emailing them. If you're only getting machines when you call then perhaps this would get a speedier response to your enquiry.

The embassy keeps very odd visiting hours and your window for calling in is incredibly restricted (something like 10-12 Tuesdays and Thursdays). I've been in once and for the hassle of getting time off, getting there, going through screening then waiting to be called you're better off calling during their open hours and going through the menu to get to a person- much easier and takes a shade less time than going in.
Not, of course, to say they'll be helpful :-p
