Hi all, I'm a JF European Studies student who is thinking of switching to HPS next year. I am enjoying ES but I really like history and would kinda like to do more of it in college, it's just the politics part I'm not sure of, anyone out there able to tell me what it's like?

Also ES is a really good degree, I'm really confused as to whether I should switch, because like I said I am enjoying myself, but think I might enjoy HPS even more!! Any advice please!?!?!

If you like history but don't like the politics, but clearly like languages, why don't you do history and a language?

HPS is pretty cool, although the politics department isn't great, but there are still some good courses i there.

I do like the politics but it's really limited on the ES course so I don't really know what it's like in HPS for example.

In regards to the history & a language question I won't do that, because TSM languages are hugely literature-focused and I'm not interested in that side of them. I'm picky but what can ya do!! :p

I'm in JF HPS now, and I guess I'd recommend it. History is pretty great, and while politics isn't fantastic this year, it looks pretty good in second year. So, yeah, do it!

Oh and PHB, if you can help, Eastern European Politics or Western European Politics in SF? I have to have the choice form in this week.
