I'm planning to buy a monitor off Komplett. Does anyone have any
recommendations? I'm aiming for a widescreen with a budget of about
    €350 or so.

I recently bought myself a 22" dell and its absolutly amazing.

you cant go wrong with 20" and 22" . I would reccomend the 22" as it just that bit bigger.

I'd love a Dell but I'm buying this through work so I can only buy from Komplett. Bit of a pain to be honest!

I would fully reccomend this monitor

I have it a few months now and it really is top class at everything, games, movies etc all look amazing on it and not a single dead pixel.A nice bit under your budget too :p .Depressing its nearly a hundred euro cheaper now than when i bought it :(

Thats great guys, thats enough to help me make a decision.
What do people think from a size point of view?
Would there be any point going for a 22inch over a 20inch?

They share the same resolution in pixels but the physical screen is bigger on the 22" model if you can afford it why not, your call...

    "Thats what she said"

Well thanks for the replies. I think I'm gonna go with ab_cork's LG suggestion.

I have the same monitor as ab_cork, I love it :)
Its a bargain at that price. It has both DVI and VGA so I have both my PC and Xbox 360 connected to it, and can flick between the two with a single button press.

I think i remember recommending it to you and a few other people back a bit too ;)

it really is a great monitor op, you won't regret it

I actually came here to post a very similar thread, and found this, which is handy...anyway, what about these ones...

    http://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=334790

I was aiming around the €300 mark, and 22" would be nice.

Well just on those three I would probably go for the Acer AL2216Wsd a review here shows it to be an acceptable display. The Acer X222W looks new perhaps a better display from looking at the specification's but it also comes with a glossy/reflective screen which some do & don't like.

Personally I'd go with the Samsung 226BW which you can get cheaper on Dabs.ie for €374 than Kompletts €400 price as the 226BW gets tops marks across the board as you can see in the review of 22" displays I linked to. For an extra 80 bucks it really is worth going the distance for the Samsung display.

The 22" Benq only has VGA, the Acer (€10 more) has a dvi port, well worth it in the long run, especially on a large screen with high res.
