    Hi

Will many people supply the wine for their wedding rather than going for the venues list??

Will you supply your own wine? 3 votes

It really depends on whether the venue will allow you to bring your own and if so how much they'll charge for corkage.

My father in law is a publican so picked up the wine cheaply, we were then charged €8 a bottle for corkage which worked out about €5 a bottle cheaper than buying from the hotel.

Be careful if you do bring your own, they'll open up every last bottle even if it's needed or not so they can charge you for opening it. They did this to me, brought a load of bottles out at 11:30 at night, luckily I see them and stopped them before the could open them.

Haven't decided on this one yet. The hotel is looking to charge €12 corkage so it's gonna work out the same price whether we buy our own or just choose from the list they supply.

Some hotel venues in West Limerick do not allow you bring in your own wine - is this rare enough?

Not really that rare - I don't think our hotel offers corkage at all.

A lot of people bitch about corkage and all that, but it's a massive loss of revenue for the hotel if they can't supply the wine - so it's hardly surprising that they try and protect their income.
