Right, I think it might be time to bite the bullet (!), I'm thinking of getting the Mustang (re)sprayed.

does anyone know of somewhere in Dublin that are sympathetic to classic cars? I'd be thinking of trying to make it as cheap as possible, by doing stripping of parts myself, but maybe not stripping of paint. I'd be looking at doing a good job that will last a good few years, rather than a touch up.

When you find a place let me know, I'm in the same position and have finally convinced myself to fork out the dough.

thats exactly what i did when i wanted to get the capri sprayed - and id recommend that people avaoid the major bodyshops and find a small independent who will devote time and attention to it

Sorry this isn't too useful, but all I know that Exclusive Autobody in Bray are an excellent paint and repair shop, but have no idea how cheap they are.

You may have some more luck in the main motors forum.
