Simply plug into your USB port and the computer will detect it as another drive. Use it to read and write data (copy or delete etc.) or use for many other applications including MP3 files or video files etc..
This Version is USB 2.0 Compliant - also works on USB 1.1 PC's

    Windows 2000/XP Or Above***
    Mac OS 9.0 or higher
Mac OS X 10.1.5 or higher
***The software included on the keydrive is NOT compatible with any version of windows vista, however the keydrive is.

Bought one two weeks ago, paid the same price for a 2gb version just before xmas so definitely good value! Nice piece of kit too... small, robust & reasonably fast transfer rate!

    I'd recommend one...

Don't think so, though a few people mentioned that it is readyboost compatible. Some say it worked and some couldn't get it.

If only i held out a few days, I would have gotten this. I picked up a 2gb stick for €13.50 delivered, about 2 days ago on ebay. The 4gb were going for about €35 or so delivered i think

I have one, it broke off the keyring in less than a week, the section that lets you attach to a keyring is weak plastic

I also forget and lose things. Consequently I have a big "Personal Details.txt" file in the primary folder of my USB key with my name and number. As my CV is also on the USB (and thus includes my address), I wouldn't want it attached to my keys!

    Thanks.

That 480MBits/sec is the maximum speed of USB 2.0, the memory key would be much slower. I can't say which would be faster but I've seen the desgin of the first one under several different brands and speed was never boasted, so I would think the samsung, but as I said, that's only a guess.

Careful now. that U3 is the biggest unneccessary pain in the ass. Steer well clear of drives with it installed.

Yes well, it all very nice having all this data on removable media hanging around but finding whats on it when its not connected is a pain!

I've just downloaded a free trial of a product called Datacatch Librarian; not bad and well integrated into Windows.

Anyone else tried it or using anything else?

But don't you have 7 days to cancel once you receive your order? (Distance Selling Regulations I think) You could cancel and reorder the 4Gb. :D

Did you not see the date of the post?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,630 ✭✭✭Oracle

Yes the date of the post is the 30th. of April and the poster Call_me_al said he'd just ordered the item. Allowing 4 days for delivery Call_me_al would have received the item on Friday 4th. May or today. He has 7 days from receipt of the goods to cancel his order.
