I have a PS3, and I need to change the nat type on it for COD3 to work on it for me, well for online gaming that is. I have posted about this before, and went through a few steps to try do it, but have failed to do so everytime. I have Eircom Broadband with the router they supplied, Netopia 3347NWG. I have tryed a couple of times to change the Nat type, but no joy at all.

Can someone please give advice on how to do so? I am not playing my PS as much thanks to it, its sort of annoying me off at the moment lol. Any advice is greatly appriciated.

you never said what nat type you have now? i have the same router and i have type 2. RFOM, NBA, Fight Night 3 all work. I just cant get call of duty to work. Id say its a problem on the servers end. I've tried everything.

Emm yeah sorry, I supose telling people what nat type I had, probably would help me a bit:p . Yeah its nat type 2, too. I heard that for COD 3 to work that it has to be changed to nat type 3? Is this correct?

NO! u dont want type 3 i think. I changed to it once and it even warned me that communication in game may not work correctly, but NAT 2 gives no warning.

Eircom starter pack broadband usually gives nat type 1, which is pretty ****. Cause when i had it, i could not connect to any1 who had nat type 1 also. Eircom are actually a fairly **** broadband company in my opinion.

    Guys,

This thread is over a year old. Let is die in peace.

It is widely known that PSN was down for a while yesterday. They were doing background updates before they release Firmware 2.50 for PS3 and 5.00 for PSP today.
