Hey all,

I'm just after buying a guitar on ebay:

I've never played one of these before, don't know what it sounds like or anything.....do ye think I've made a mistake or have a gotten a good deal!?

With that extorionate shipping quote it works out barley €100 less than a new one.

I don't know much about Taylors, but thats a 300 series you linked to Fey, and the OP has bought a 800 series.

Thats a decent price you paid for it OP. But tbh, you shouldnt be asking was it a good purchase after you bought it.

Well, id just say decent. There is a bit of variation within the taylor range. The E models have their expression system which adds a few quid.

It looks like an early 90s one, they listed at around $2000. I pulled up a few completed 2nd hand auctions (and store sales) in around the $1600 range. Thats about E1200, plus shipping & taxes. So, OP, you didnt make a killing or anything, but, whatever, if you wanted it, youve got it.

FWIW, i wouldnt buy something of that value without ebay protection.

EDIT - and yeah, that shipping quote is stupid.
