Went in to look at a bike yesterday at a dealers at 5:30 as they were packing up the shop...

I was happy with the price, He looked at my bike and offered me a price I wasnt happy with but feck it, I was excited and told him, allright so, Ill be in tomorrow must ring the insurance, I dont anticipate any issues with them, yer trying to close up, I wont hold you up, seeya...

Rang him this morning to ask him for the reg for the insurance....

He then said Ahhh sorry a guy arrive in after you and paid a deposit on it....

Ahhhhh feck I said, why didnt you ring me, I thought we had a deal....

    Sorry mate, click....

Suppose Ill have to take it as a sign, maybe im not supposed to change...

No point in me name and shame, I suppose its just a cut throat business... I just felt it was unfair untill I started typing this :-(

Well I suppose its just so hard to turn a profit for these guys these days that they have to take the definite cash when its there. Guess you should have left a deposit. Hope you find the same bike elsewhere.

My experience in over 20 yrs biking is almost all dealer's are like that.

Bike shops/bike salemen are terrible in comparision to car dealerships.

    Better luck next time.

Well I won't try to differ.

Haven't bought a bike from them since 1989. In fact is was a Yamaha RD500 YPVS. Actually closed the deal over a pint accross the road in what was then 'The Magnet'.

Rode the bike home with a mate, both of us hammered, lol.

Ah, those were the days. I don't know how I made it this far.

    :D
