Whats all the Fuss About??

ok i have 2 say the ps3 isnt that great !!! ok everyone was going on about its got BLU RAY . got casio royale and find it hard to spot the difference with a normal dvd and Blu Ray .

The ps3 graphics are much the same as xbox 360. But the ps3 selection of games is quite poor at the moment !! sure there may be great games like GTA and MGS coming we have to wait ages !!!!

I like the internet browser , its cool watching youtube on your television !!#
i traded the xbox 360 with games and other stuff like wireless adapter etc which ment i only paid about 275 for the ps3 .


I feel kinda sorry for the bucks who payed 700 euro PLUS
anyone else think the PS3 is all talk !!!!!

I think graphically it seems a good deal more capable than the 360.

But yes... there is a terrible selection of games at the moment.. and not much on the horizon either... I can't stand GTA and MG games....

As for BluRay.. are you sure you're using a HDMI cable?

suppose i should of me mentioned i dont have a hd tv . but in fairness there are lots who don't have a hd-tv !!!!

You are hardly qualified to give a criticism of Blu-ray then. No one claimed it would make movies look better on a SD tv.

but the whole point is the high resolution display, you aren't seeing games as they should look either...

ha ha jabroni actually i do have it !! but my mate has HD and the works aswell !! im always on his PS3 aswell and i dont think much of it!!

It does make movies better, if you have a HD television. You don't, so you cannot comment on the Blu Ray capabilities until you have seen it for yourself and given it a chance. The games at the moment are pretty crap, but when HOME is launched it will be a major benefit to the PS3, not other gaming console has such a feature yet. The games will only get better, as some of the developers have not yet larned fully how to make use of all the PS3's functions. But in time they will, and it will be well worth it in my opinion.

I have never read a thread that has more holes in it! First u say Bluray is nothing special compared to dvd, but u only got a stardard tv!! Come on man, what are you smoking??! Then you say you feel sorry for people who spent more then 700 on it while you trade in your 360 with aload of stuff that I imagine you spent alot more then 700 on! Your the one that got burnt man! Then you say its all hype - didnt you know what you were buying when u got one? Ie the games available etc.. And to the people who said there is a terrible selection of games out atm - we all dont spend all your money and time on games - ive got Moterstorm and resistance and im getting oblivion soon - thats more then enough for me. For a launch Im more then happy with the games available!

Have to agree with Kevin there on the launch titles. The console has been out just over a month now, justbringit89 do you honestly expect golden games straight away?

It took the 360 11 months to get Gears going. The Ps3 has yet to develop, its in the early stage....be patient.

That is just my opinion on the games though, we each have our different style of games. Just the games that are out at the moment, aren't the games for me. Maybe they would suit other people down to the ground, but just not me. The only two games that I like out of all the launch titles were COD3 and Sonic, that was it, nothin else appealed to me at the time. I am sure if I liked some of the other titles, I would be more than happy with them. I just thought there could have been a wider choice in the variety of titles at the launch.

PS3 isnt great at the moment but I'm working my way through all the PS2 classics (God of War, Shadows of Colossus, et. al).

They'll tide me over til the next big game comes out. Ninja Gaiden for me!

Way off topic there. But the reason no Game has Oblivion is cos there was a mess up at the Warehouse. Should be delivered across stores on monday.
