AICN and this is from CHUD:
See what I get for not checking daily on Joanna Cassidy's website? A number of sites (1, 2) are reporting on Blade Runner reshoots, based on a post at said location. Specifically: Joanna has just finished re-shooting her scenes from the original BLADE RUNNER movie. Joanna is wearing her original outfit (which she kept over from the first production). These new scenes will be part of the upcoming special BLADE RUNNER DVD re-release. Check back for more details.

Apprarently, the idea is that the new footage will be cut into little pieces and composited in over some of the mistakes that plagued Cassidy's scene in which Zhora is chased by Dekard, before being gunned down in a historic example of terrible wig-dom. So her footwear and bullet wounds might now be consistent throughout the scene, which might even get a radically new edit. Wonder if the original stuntman was brought in to jump through a new window, as well?

We'll be hearing more about this, no doubt, if other actors are/have been brought in to shoot new/additional work for the film's final cut.

I've a bad feeling about this...

Don't tell me, they'll be touching up the cityscapes with adverts for Ipods rather than Coca Cola!

When I saw this thread I thought: "Oh we'll have the fanboys screaming of Lucasabuse" but, my God, you could be on to something y'know. Whatever about the Coke thing, you could be on the right track with the Atari logos. I REALLY doubt it will happen but y'never know. Long as there's no Dewbacks: "Look sir. Droids"

But it's Ridley Scott. He wouldn't stoop that low, would he?

Well, he did start making ads. He did that Apple 1984 ad I think. Long as Zhora doesn't have a bloody great big hammer.

Despite all the biblical omens... im curious to see this. Blade Runner is a fantastic film but is flawed in areas. Directors Cut FTW

I don't think they're Special Editioning the FX. Don't think we'll see a dodgy Jabba. I am a bit concerned as to why they need the original actress to redo that scene as it seems to have been the shooting bit that they were redoing. Know it got a lot of slagging for continuity errors but surely this could have been rectified with a body double/stuntman. Seems like there may have been some dialogue scene changes? Dodgy.

"Ive seen things you people wouldnt believe...."

Like a Freakin Touchup on one of the greatest, if not the best, Sci-fi films ever. Who decides this she-ite anyway? Scott? At what stage does a piece of film come up for recompositing(or some such ****)? How far does this extend? At what stage do we start touching up Michael Collins so they shoot more in Croke Park?

Is it how Sci-fi fan numbers are so small and easily dismissed that they dont care for our opinion? or are we meant to be impressed with the "technology" of touch-ups to classics?

Spielberg with his walkie-talkies, Lucas with the green dude shooting first... they ushered in a dark age. An age of sci-fi fans, who traditionally spend on films to spend even more on each version.

I got out the day I heard "Terminator 2 : The Ultimate edition" was in the works. (invalidating my previous 20 versions of the same film.) I cant stomach this **** any more. **** you scott, if this is you. Its a classic, be happy with it as we are.

Whats the matter with you anyways?

You need to calm down, sir. No-one's forcing you to buy 'em. Besides, the directors cut of T2 is far better than the original. The extra scenes add a lot to the movie. The ultimate edition only adds better audio/video quality. Nothing else. If you're happy with your older version, you've no reason to buy it.
