The local Extravision has started to rent out box-sets, so I figured I'd give 24 a long overdue first-look.

So far, good show. Not great (it's a bit ridicules at times, and a bit too serious most of the time), but definitely entertaining - and I've been told it gets better (I must be on S01E19 by now).

Just one little thing which I find really irritating - and maybe it's been discussed before? - is that they use twelve hour clocks for the drama++, "the time is now..", bits. And there's not even an AM or PM to differentiate -- in fact every time looks like morning time, due to an unneeded '0' (i.e. '06:42' for both 06:42 and 18:42).

I mean, the show's called 24. You think they would've gotten that right.

Americans dont "get" the 24 hour clock system bless them. It's concidered military time.

The clock thing is a wee annyoance, but like france, americans dont use our am/pm clock ways....It could be a bit confusing if you put in 6pm into the dvd player instead of 6am and watched a diffrent episode!

eh, tbh OP, it is going to get better,but only cause the last few eps of season 1 were the shows peak
