Welcom to the forum Gillcarr1972, glad to have you on board. Advertising of commercial services, or any services which involve a fee is strictly forbidden, but you're very welcome to discussany of aspects of the paranormal you would like to, and to practice readings, I'm sure you'll find plenty of volunteers here :)

I only charge when I am live lol! I like to practise though. Thats why I am not mentioning where I work for pay :) Got to keep the grey matter flowing and sometimes I take reading breaks where I just do practise readings to keep the energy flowing.

    Hi there

Welcome to the forum, hope you find much to think about/discuss here.

You mention you're trying to find out more about your own gifts, I would be in a similiar position myself so would be very interested to hear how you're going about tapping into/finetuning these abilities

I will do a bit more about my self once the weekend is over and hopefully assist you with some ideas to learn. I have taught three students so far and myself and another psychic are opening a psychic school in sept.
I teach cold reading and mediumship, but assist with tarot too as a tool.

Thanks for the welcome and yes your right about Ireland needing more teaching of the art!

You know, we will get something going soon enough, just today i had a meeting with some other spiritualists as we are trying to find somewhere we can practice and improve our skills.......would really love a spiritual "home", im calling it this as opposed to a church, we really need somewhere the public can go to and be shown proof of life on the other side, were teachings can go on ect.........Ireland is becoming quite an open country and we will see big changes over the next few years.......im quite excited about it all. At present were using the cafe for things and hopefully ,in time, this will expand.........

Oh come on! Does no one else find it interesting that the OP has stated (s)he teaches "cold reading and mediumship"?!

Cold reading is the skill of pretending to have psychic powers.

Yes its odd but maybe the OP has a different meaning for the term?

Hi GillCarr, could you expand on what you mean by "teaching cold reading"?

Didn't pay much attention to that comment, but I would like to hear what your meaning for Cold Readings are and I would hope that they are not to the difinition of the above link.

Hmmmmm..........didnt notice, just goes to show we read ONLY what we want, I would however like to hear the verdict on this one, what exactly is meant by this persons version of cold reading, then i will judge.

Heres hoping itd positive rather than making a mockery of psychic skills but lets give this person a chance to reply.,

Actually its not, I meant it as the fact that you can read something without the aid of cards etc, and if you cant see the person how is yous statement true?
but im not here to argue with you, its up to you what you think

When I said I teach it, it means I am teaching new readers to use intuition and spirit guides to assist in readings rather than always using a tool as cards, runes or whatever means you use.

I help them tune in and listen to there guides. Its not something people pay for so its really nothing I have to justify on a board.
Not being hateful, but didnt like the reples and the way it was put.

So as I pointed out.... after reading your link, I must be blooming good to obtain this info online without seeing them???? wow I should charge more!

Google isnt always a great thing to use, you should have ASKED what I meant before you jumped to this conclusion???

There is no big deal saying I teach... not a hanging offense is it!
I teach free and I do it to bring more psychics into circulation, I found I had a gift of drawing their abilities out of them.

Gill they can hardly be blamed for the reaction. Cold Reading has a very well know meaning in the real world Google doesnt come into it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 994 ✭✭✭kshiel

Clearly your meaning for the term "Cold Reading" differs from the one in the link or what some people term it as. I dont think people were judging you only that they wanted to hear what your understanding of this term means. I have only recently started to read for friends etc to practice and dont use cards and find it a good way for me and if your gifts involve teaching this I wish you the best of luck and every sucess with it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,165 ✭✭✭ladybirdirl

Is this not all a bit harsh - the person comes on here, is honest about what she does -seems to be that it's just another tool for reading, not one I'm very familiar with

They should have asked for an explaination rather than jumping on me though. the first comment would have been sufficient without others jumping in..
