CRM Software

    Hi guys, i work for a language school. Up to now we have used excel for databases etc and kept payment information on the paper enrolment form. I am looking for Software that would have a Class List Function, and a payment record, also something that would notify us if someone owed us a payment etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or give me names of such software? Thanks

    Don't know about shrink wrapped packages. Anything like that I've seen or been involved in has been bespoke, and tailored to the specific business. But as I'm software development that's hardly surprising.

    Well it could range from something small built around MS Excel or Access by a student or a single developer, for a small office or something bigger in something like MS SQL for a bigger organisation, built by a team or software company. In my experience its not really any more expensive to comparative off the shelf package. Each approach has it pro's and con's. As with all projects you set a budget and an objective and see what solutions, bespoke or shrink wrapped best fit. A search on google for school accounting software would give you a ton of results. I've no experience of a specific package if thats what you are looking for. You could ask around other schools and see what they are using.

    I don't know if Sugar will do those specific things, but it's worth a look I reckon.

    Sugar is good, but for managing class lists? I don't know, I guess you could use the 'projects' feature to deal with classes.

    Anyway, this is a problem that must have been solved before.

    It has been a long time since your post but I decided to comment on it anyway.

    Have a look at microsoft crm. its easy to customize to your specific requirements, and priced reasonable (hosted version costs about 60 euro per user/month).

    any questions, give me a shout - I am a heavy user of ms crm - very satisfied with the product:).
