Word was that this was to be available in all PS3 stores yesterday, but I have only been able to find it in the U.S. store.

I haven't tried it out yet, as it was taking an age to download, so I left it overnight.

Apparently the demo contains the entire first level of the game which is due out in June and allows you to play the level at all difficulty settings.

For anyone who doesn't know, its very easy to set up accounts for the U.S. and Japanese stores, giving access to more demos, HD trailers etc.

If you set up a Hong Kong account, you can access the Japanese store, but most of the content appears in English or with enough English to work out what it is.

I have gotten demos for NBA2007, Armoured Core 4, Virtua Tennis 3 & Everybody Golf amongst others, which can't (yet) be got on the EU store.

Whats the deal with setting up new accounts? Will it replace your existing one or can you have multiple accounts?

    Its not bad,
had a go last night.......1080p/60fps solid..
Nice game if your a fan of the original..
Only slightly annoying thing is a slight tearing effect on horizontal panning........nothing major, but can be noticable..
If you can get it cheap on import, it'd be a decent purchase (but not at €75 if you played the original)

    No,
    you can have multiple accounts..
Its actually rather cool being able to download a demo from the EU store, logging into your US account and downloading from their store, logging into your HK and Jap accounts and seeing what's going on there...........and all the while, your original download are still at work in the background regardless of what account you're in..........nice little bit of multi-tasking at work..

Just played it through there. Very good, only completed the original a few months back (loved it) but I'm definitely buying it when its released (aslong as I can import it! I'm too impatient to wait for the european release)
Some graphic issues but they have time to work that out.

So this is the power of the PS3.

Add a few bit of soften focus effects, trees still look like they are made up of flat + shaped overly soft textures.

    mmmm. very dissapointing.

Yes it looks moderatly prettier than the xbox version, err well so it bloody should. But it doesnt look that much different than the xbox version played on a 360 (which upscales it to 720p).

It really did not bowl me over. Not enough texture detail, not enough dynamic lighting (was there any?).

I think I'll wait for a proper Ninja Gaiden sequel on either the 360 or PS3, than spend money on this.

Dynamic environment shadowing is the next step Team Ninja needs to make with their games. But at least Sigma has self-shadowing on its characters, which is a nice improvement over DOA4.

Other than that, though, I think it looks fantastic. I've switched between Black on my 360 and Sigma, and I think 'a little improvement' isn't really fair, IMO.

I think the demo itself is to be highly recommended. There's a fair bit of content in there, and it's very replayable. Rachel plays quite differently from Ryu, which is interesting and reassuring. The best demo sofar on the PSN, IMO.
