Just hit pause and let the video download before playing. I guess you are on a 1Mb connection. Not always quick enough for smooth streaming.

    Cal.

There used to be a script called greasemonkey which when install it into Firefox which allows you to download videos from youtube.
It doesn't work anymore now (I think).

I've seen YouTube choke any number of times, even on hugely fast connections. Being as popular as they are, their servers taken a massive hammering at certain times, and there's really not much you can do about that. Just start the video playing, pause it, and come back when there's enough donwloaded.

It can be a number of things:

    1) your connection is to slow to stream media.
    2) the youtube server is overloaded, and out of bandwidth to provide

    Well okay two things.

The best bet is that if its a larger video <2:00 then just pause it until its almost finished buffering.
