    hey guys,

Building on the great advice in another thread here, I'm also in the market for an inkjet printer to print photos, can anyone help with recommendations ?

I've a small budget of 100 - 150, only want to print from PC, no card reader etc required....

thinking of the canon range that has 9600 dpi??

    thanks

    FBP.

Have a look at the Epson R360 range, €130 from dabs.ie. I haven't seen a review of this particular model, but previous models in the R3xx series have a good rep.

Whatever you do, make sure you go for a printer with individual in cartridges, and the more the better (the Epson has 6). I'd advise you to avoid Lexmark. The hardware will be cheap, but it'll probably cost twice the price of the printer to replace the inks. In general, the ink price is going to be your main cost, the printers themselves are sold at very low, or zero margin.

Do you print photos on that? What is the quality like and what is the biggest size you can print?

A4 size, plenty fast and I sell off this at shows and nobody has a problem with them.
