I was just wondering if anyone has tried these out yet. I'm pretty much permanently in Kayanos due to work and training. I was down in the local sports shop and tried them on they feel really good.

However I was discussing them with the owner and he said that he was getting very mixed feedback from them. Some people stating that they felt heavier than the Kayano even though they are marketed at being lighter in weight. Also that because of the design of the sole that it is causing a 'slap' on forefoot impact with the ground making it sound like you are running flat footed.

Just wondering if anyone has any personal feedback?

    Hi there,

The Kinsei and Kayanos are very different shoes. The Kinsei is the most cushioned shoe that Asics Do the Asics Kayano is one of their most supportive shoe (they do have one or two more supportive like the evolution). They are for two very different runners.

Firstly find out if you can run in a cushioned shoe. If you are currently running in the Kayano it is possible that you require a supportive shoe. If you want to check out what your foot does we do offer Gait Analysis www.amphibianking.ie to determine your foot type. However we no longer stock the Asics Kinsei. We used to stock them and the feedback was pretty good I just felt that at the price they came in at 160 you could buy the Asics Nimbus for 30 cheaper and still have a really cushioned shoe.

    Hope this helps.

    Damian.

    Thanks Damien,

I am slightly pronated in both feet, right more than left. I don't need orthotis but I tend to appreciate the added support of the kayano shoe. The owner of the sports shop did explain that the kensi are a neutral shoe in comparison to what I am used to wearing.

I will more than likely hold out for another 6-8 weeks until the the next Kayano is out.

I sound siilar but am quite drastic on the right, I wear a Kayano of late, which I got from DMcK and am very happy.
