Hi. i hope someone can help me. I bleached my hair the other day and it went a not so nice yellowish colour. Someone suggested I use a violet toner. Anyone know if Boots sell toners? Or would I have to get it from a salon

    Hi Melissa,

I'm not sure what you mean about toner - do you mean the toner they put in to try and strip out some of the colour??? I would really suggest walking into a salon and asking them what would they do. Blonde hair is extremely difficult to get right yourself and you don't want to keep putting colour over colour as you will wreak your hair.

It happened to a friend of mind and the hairdresser did a combination of highlights and lowlights to break up her hair as well and putting something on it (maybe toner) to take the brassyness out of the hair. Sorry I don't know the answer but I would definately talk to a hairdresser before you start putting toners etc in your hair.

John Frieda range has brought out a new range which is absolutely fab for getting rid of that brassy look and sorted my hair out brilliantly. It's the John Freida Collection - Sheer blonde, Colour Renew Tone-Refreshing, shampoo, conditioner and there's also a seperate toner that you use between the shampoo and conditioner (that was a bit of a mouthfull but it's what's written on the bottle!). Boots the chemist stocks them and they're about 10 euro each

    hey girls
id recommend l'oreal majirel hair toner- its salon strength though so make sure you read the instructions!! you can get it in a suppliers but most of them are trade only so you'll have to shop around! theres loads of shades but the blonde one i used to use was 10 mixed with 10.1/2.1, which was a really light
almost platinum ash blonde. if you google the colour chart you can pick which colour you want.
then use that john frieda stuff mentioned above!

La Riche Directions White Toner for white/platinum blonde hair is available at Showco, which is a goth shop located in George's Street Arcade, Dublin. Just incase anyone is still wondering. :) It's 8.00 Euro. It gets rid of yellow brassy tones.

majirel is not really a toner.. its a permanent hair colour.. id recomend diacolour gelee in light ash to get rid of yellow

Do you use that and then put another colour over it? Or is that a permanent hair colour?

L'oreal Luocolor P02 will do the job. From Terrisales or salon services.
