    Hi,

I am having a spot of bother with fitting wheels onto my car. As with everything I do with my car I seem to get the right parts but have no idea how to fit them. The wheels I have got are 70's Rover SD1 vitesse wheels for my P6. The nuts I got with the wheels were not all biting properly to the bolts. I bought new bolts from Rimmer Bros in the UK. The same problem has occured again. I noticed that the bolts that I got with the orginal wheels were slightly longer than those on my car. The question is, can I relace the bolts? How do you remove them? and how do I make sure that they are secure? My car has been off the road too long and is at my parents place. I just need someones advisement, because I don't know anyone who has had simular problems with nuts and bolts!!

The nuts for a P6 are if I remember correctly Imperial (Whitworth?) while the SD1 has metric nuts so you have to check what you have got.

It is possible to replace the studs but it will not be easy to find metric studs that fit a P6 hub.

    Tomas
