    i walked up mount leinster a few weeks ago and took a few pictures while i was there. here they are

    Nobb question but in the second picture above the dishes but below the cellphone type antennae theres a big flat horizontal metal thing on the mast

    Anyone know whats it for ???

    One of those wee round dishes below it is ours.... It is there to stop falling ice from smashing the radomes on the radio sets below...

    The ice buildup up there is impressive to say the least !
