Supervalue on the Quays beside O'Connell bridge have some deal goin on a mountainbike think it's €89. Didn't check details but looked alright to me.

Other than that you could go to the bike shop (the name of which escapes me) across from fairview park. They have great second hand bikes that they'll service and sell to you for well under €100.

There are Gardai organised bike auctions for unclaimed bikes every half a year / year. Last one was on the 29th of March: http://www.garda.ie/angarda/press/2007/p02marb2007.html

Might be one around November, as there was one before iirc.

    I'd say try Halfords too.

Also, if you don't need rear suspension on your bike, don't get it. It will only add to the overall weight of the bike (especially if it's a cheap 'full suspension' bike) and you're the one who's going to be lugging it around everywhere.

I'd recommend lifting different bikes (carefully - keep your back straight ;) ) to get an idea of the differences in weight.

don't get any suspension if you're only planning to ride on the roads - it just absorbs the energy you're putting into peddling, and as Fnz said, adds weight to the bike (though a cheaper bike will weigh more anyway).
