Sunny Beach - Bulgaria

I'm goin to Sunny Beach in a few weeks with 3 friends....Just wondering has anyone been before? i've read comments about the bulgarian people that they're very rude etc... but i'd like to find out for myself or if any one has been what have they thought about the bulgarian people?

Also, are ther many activities to do around the area, i've tried to look up websites on the net but to no avail.....

I was in Sunny Beach a few years ago. It is ridiculously cheap for food and drink (well back in 2003 it was anyway) and most of the locals aren't a bad bunch, although some don't have much English either. That said, it is one of the poorest countries in the EU and they do have a problem with crime etc, so be careful, especially when you are going out at night.

I presume that you are a girl from your handle name, I was just wondering if you are going with 3 other girls or in a mixed group? The reason I ask is because if you are a girl then be extra vigilant of the sleaze factor. Some of the blokes there seem to think they are god's gift and might hassle and your mates abit. But then again, that is useally the case in most holiday resorts I suppose.

I thought it was great over there...Food and drink extremely cheap, great main street with tons of shops, restaurants, bars, tattoo places, cd shops (a grey area though!)...

Locals seemed fine to me (some women extremely friendly.......women of the night :eek: )

It's becoming more tourist-y but they are a little lacking in English...Tons of construction going on - hotels galore!

There is the usual beach stuff to do, can rent golf carts and drive along streets, shopping, clubbing, bars. The apartment I was in was great, really well furnished and everything!

wow! i'm so guna rent a golf cart!!!!

there's 2 of us girls goin and 2 fellas so we've decided to compromise with eachother and stick together at ALL times. If the boys wana do boy stuff that we're not interested in we're guna go anyway and vice versa so that we're not split up. We're stayin in the Victoria Palace hotel ther's mixed views about this place on www.beachbulgaria.com especially the food and cleaning of the hotel rooms but I've read ther's plenty of restaurants that cater for all kinds of tastes and they were recommended to be 'nicer' than the hotel food.... Yay can't wait now

tee hee hee... i'm sure they will but out the 4 of us who are goin 2 are a couple so i doubt that will happen!!! but u know what I mean. fishing/watchin footie or whatever....
