he looked inside the car before it flew of the cliff ? and you saw there was no driver ?

Oh man, I haven't seen theat film in ages! As far as I can remember, that's the ending I know. What ending did you have on the dvd?

the ending on the DVD is
they lead the car up to the canyon and "trick" it to drive of the edge, there is no scene of the door opening
