I heard a rumour that next week a large casino (50 tables!) will open in Buncrana, Co. Donegal. I doubt it will be that big, especially when Buncrana is quite a small town but it's still a good location because it's so close to the border (Derry) and would attract so much business from the North who are poker starved.

Anyone heard anything concrete about this one?

I'm fairly sure you know more about it than your letting on.

its probably vialble in Buncranca, due to the proximity to the North, i dont think it should affect the Gold lcub too much either by the way. but 50 tables?!! lol, not even a dublin one could sustain that.

I actually think it would have quite a serious effect on poker in the Gold Club. A lot of their clientel travel from Derry and every one of them would travel to Buncrana instead if it was well run. Any decent weekly tourneys are likely to take Letterkenny players away also.

its hard to know at the moment, if it was getting anough to fill 15 tables id imagine people would opt for it, as would i for the value, but the gold club is nice for a small club.
If the buncrana one served food too, it would be a huge plus.
